Northamptonshire Police has been in contact with the Parish Council today regard to a number of instances of Courier Fraud in Charlton.
It appears that fraudsters have been targeting the older members of the community on their land line. They have purported to be from the Metropolitan Police, advised that bank accounts have been compromised and have asked for money. Couriers are then sent to collect the cash.
Further details are attached, but please warn friends/family/neighbours who might not be on social media of this scam so no one else falls victim.
